English On June 26th Vytautas Magnus University, Academy of Education together with Išlaužo Basic school participated in online meeting of the project "Eu Rural virtual classroom" with the main coordinator of the project - Estela Cántabra (Spain).
During this meeting employees of Vytautas Magnus University - Andrius Stasiukynas, Monika Dievaitytė and a teacher Valdonė Rasimienė from Išlaužo Basic school, had the opportunity to join the distance learning platform "Eu Rural Virtual classroom" https://agora.ruralvirtualclassroom.eu/ created by the project coordinators and to test all the functions and possibilities of the virtual class. Specialists from Spain not only demonstrated the functionality of the platform, but also helped to create personal accounts through which it will be possible to invite other teachers and specialists to the platform.
In addition to the remote classroom function, the virtual classroom platform also includes a data warehouse where teachers can store their lesson materials and conveniently share them with students. This platform also will create an opportunity for teachers from different European countries to communicate with each other, gather in groups, share materials, and possibly implement various projects.
Although this is only the beginning of the development of the virtual classroom platform and it will be improved in the future, we are glad that we have already had the opportunity to get to know this platform and try all the advantages it provides.
